Unapendwa e.V. is a German, non-profit organization that cooperates with the Unapendwa Tanzania Foundation. The organization supports work in Tanzania through close collaboration, exchange, and funding, in order to jointly achieve Unapendwa's goals and implement sustainable projects.
We are committed to raising funds, organizing donations, and providing essential resources to sustainably support projects in Tanzania. Close collaboration with the Tanzanian NGO e us to better understand the community's needs and address them effectively. As a partner organization, we aim not only to strengthen project work but also to foster intercultural dialogue and work together to empower local people with a self-determined and hopeful future.

Cooperation & Advisory Support
Unapendwa e.V. and the Unapendwa Foundation work closely together, forming a single entity based on collaboration and mutual support. The chairpersons of both organizations are in contact almost daily to exchange information, coordinate strategies, and ensure that both organizations are working towards common goals.
This close connection not only enables an effective flow of information, but also optimal coordination of projects and resources. Decisions are made collaboratively to best address the needs of the community and to ensure that projects have a lasting impact.
This intensive collaboration provides a strong foundation for overcoming challenges together and maximizing the impact of our work. The partnership between Unapendwa e.V. and the Unapendwa Foundation is characterized by mutual respect, trust, and a shared commitment to Unapendwa's vision and mission.
Financial Support
Unapendwa e.V. contributes to supporting the work on the ground by providing financial resources. These resources are raised in various ways, including membership fees, one-time donations, and fundraising activities to support the work of the Unapendwa Foundation. The funds go directly to projects and programs implemented within the local community.
In the future, Unapendwa aims to establish targeted sponsorship programs that provide direct financial support to individual projects. These programs will enable targeted, sustainable support for specific initiatives or groups, ensuring their continued development. They are intended not only to strengthen Unapendwa's financial foundation but also to allow sponsors to actively contribute to positive change in the community and see the social impact of their support.
Intercultural Exchange
A key part of Unapendwa's work is intercultural exchange, fostered through the involvement of international volunteers. This exchange allows participants to learn from one another and gain diverse perspectives. We place particular emphasis on ensuring a collaborative partnership based on mutual respect, where every contribution and idea is valued.
Respecting the diverse cultures and life experiences of both local communities and international volunteers is essential. This respectful and equitable collaboration not only creates meaningful intercultural experiences but also fosters mutual enrichment. We met in Arusha during our time as volunteers with the organization STEP Africa in 2021. During this time, we quickly fell in love with the city, its people, and its culture, and we aim to work with the people of Arusha in a sustainable, long-term way.
