Unapendwa e.V. is a German, non-profit organization that cooperates with the Unapendwa Tanzania Foundation. The organization supports the work in Tanzania through close collaboration, exchange, and funding, in order to jointly achieve Unapendwa's goals and enable sustainable projects.
We are committed to raising funds, organizing donations, and providing essential resources to sustainably support projects in Tanzania. Close collaboration with the Tanzanian NGO allows us to better understand the community's needs and address them effectively. As a partner organization, we aim not only to strengthen project work but also to foster intercultural dialogue and work together to empower local people with a self-determined and hopeful future.

Cooperation & Consulting
Unapendwa e.V. and the Unapendwa Foundation work closely together, forming a single entity based on collaborative effort and mutual support. The chairpersons of both organizations are in contact almost daily to exchange information, coordinate strategies, and ensure that both organizations are working towards common goals.
This close connection not only enables an effective flow of information, but also optimal coordination of projects and resources. Decisions are made in close consultation to ensure that the needs of the community are best met and that the projects have a sustainable impact.
This intensive collaboration creates a strong foundation that enables us to overcome challenges together and maximize the impact of our work. Financial Support
Unapendwa e.V. contributes to supporting the work on the ground by providing financial resources. These resources are raised in various ways, including membership fees, one-time donations, and fundraising activities and events specifically designed to support the work of the Unapendwa Foundation. These funds go directly to the projects and programs implemented within the local community.
In the future, Unapendwa aims to establish targeted sponsorship programs that provide direct and specific financial support to individual projects. These programs will enable the sustainable promotion of specific initiatives or groups within the projects and ensure their continued development. These sponsorship programs are intended not only to strengthen Unapendwa's financial foundation but also to give sponsors the opportunity to actively contribute to positive change in the community and to understand the social impact of their commitment.
Intercultural Exchange
A key component of Unapendwa's work is intercultural exchange, fostered through collaboration with international volunteers. This exchange allows participants to learn from one another and gain diverse perspectives. We met in Arusha during our time as volunteers with the organization STEP Africa in 2021. During this time, we all fell in love with the city, its people, and its culture, and we want to work with the people of Arusha in a long-term and sustainable way.
